Tower Clocks
Custom clock dials, hands and lighting are available with with the most accurate domestic minute impulse clock movments. Stock dial and hand designs are available and a state of the art engineering and manufacturing facility is ready to turn your clock design into reality.
Analog Clock Movements for the Digital Age
Henry Warren's innovative synchronization of clocks to the power line frequency revolutionized time keeping in 1916. Today, however, minute impulse clock technology has rendered the synchronous tower clock movement obsolete.
The inherent mechanical inertiae in tower clocks make accurate digital control of synchronous movments impossible. Synchronous clocks accumulate error every time an adjustment is made for a power failure or daylight time change. Keeping multiple clock dials in agreement is a further challenge.
Recent headlines indicate that we can no longer rely on the 60 Hz line frequency that has helped synchronous movements keep accurate time. The proposed errors on synchronous clocks may accumulate to as much as 20 minutes per year.
In contrast, the digital clock controller always knows the exact position of the hands of its minute impulse movements, allowing precise updates for power failures and automatic daylight time adjustments. Minute impulse movements are available for nearly any type of clock from post clocks to powerful 4-way central movments that handle clock dials up to 15 feet in diameter.
Outdoor clocks are subject to extreme temperature changes, rain, snow and debris carried by the wind. Advanced ceramic polymer bearings with solid librication on the clock output shafts prevent seizing while keeping oil off of the face of the clock. Electric Time clock movements are made in the USA and are UL Listed.

Controllers
The Millennium Carillons, Six-SS carillons and our bell automation equipment control tower clocks when purchased with an optional interface. We have clock control interfaces that are compatible with both modern minute-impulse and historic synchronous clock movements.
Street Clocks
Replica Howard, McClintock and Seth Thomas post clock designs are manufactured with cast aluminum posts and heads with two or four clock dial faces. Replacement clock movements and other parts required for post clock renovation are also available.
Purchasing and Engineering Information
Clocks, movements and accessories can be purchased from us with bell ringing equipment as a complete system, or you can obtain compatible clock equipment directly from Electric Time Company.
Chime Master Interface Options
Order the Chime Master 2034DMI clock interface to connect our bell ringing equipment to minute impulse clock movements (two 24VAC Outputs for odd and even minutes), or the 2034DSM interface to control existing synchronous clock movements (two 120VAC Outputs for normal and fast-correction modes).
Dedicated Electric Time clock controls can be used when bell ringing is not a requirement.
