Video Instructions for Special Veterans Day Ringing

Jodi VD

The armistice ending World War One was signed at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918. As communities celebrated, steeple bells everywhere rang out a message of peace.

A century later, on this special Veterans Day, our bells will ring in remembrance of the ending of World War One. We are encouraged to toll the bells 21 times, to imitate a 21-gun salute, the nation's highest honor.

Provided is an instructional video on how to toll your bells 21 times at 11 o'clock on the morning of Veterans’ Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018 for the centenary of the end of World War One.

Please note: The video demonstrates using a solid state model and will only work with with the latest line of Six-SS, Millennium and Platinum Chime Master carillons (2007 and newer). If you would like to program your older or CD-based carillon, please call 800-344-7464, Monday-Thursday 8am to 6pm and Friday 8am to 5pm EST and someone will be happy to assist you.

Note: This can be edited anytime between the afternoon of Sunday, November 4 and the morning of Sunday, November 11 (before 11 a.m.). It will play in the weekly schedule until it is removed.
